During this tour, the team will do its best to search for Humpback Whales, a wide variety of dolphins, turtles, seabirds, and other marine life. Weather condition will allow you to snorkeling (3-5 meters {9-15 feet} deep) at whale rock.Additionally on this trip, you’ll briefly pass by Ventanas beach to see the wonderful marine caves that were carved by the ocean.
Depending on the ocean tide, you’ll either briefly stop at Ventanas or Arco beach to enjoy some fresh fruits.
Whale season:
Northern Hemisphere whale season( mid December trough late February ). Water visibility is typically great during these particular months, so the guide will try to maximize this opportunity for you, and allow for some snorkeling.
The number of Northern Hemisphere Humpback whales that migrate to Costa Rica from mid December through late February is much smaller than the Southern Hemisphere humpback whale migration that occurs from July to October. Therefore, there is NO guarantee that we’ll spot whales during this season.
Southern Hemisphere whale season (July - October). July through the end of October is the best time to spot the majestic Humpback whales.
Please note: The company will do the best to try and spot the humpback whales, but seeing as you’re exploring Mother Nature, there is NO guarantee you will able to see whales in this tour.
Not Whale season(November to mid December // March to June). During this particular time of the year, it’s uncommon to spot Humpback whales, but the company will explore the Marino Ballena National Park, search for other marine wildlife such as the Pacific spotted dolphins, bottlenose dolphins, seabirds, and turtles.
